GiveGab Gives to the SPCA of Tompkins County
In November of 2014, we initiated a monthly GiveGab Gives competition to celebrate receiving the Corporate Philanthropist of the Year Award.
Each month, every GiveGab employee contributes cash to be donated to a local nonprofit of the tournament winner’s choice. It’s just one of the many ways our GiveGab team walks the walk with our nonprofits!
GIVEGAB GIVES: MONTHLY COMPETITION #2
This month’s foosball champions were Jesse and Beth, who also just happen to be our super smart software engineers! How they ended up on the same team is still under investigation…
Having both grown up with pets, Beth and Jesse really love and appreciate animals, which is why they collectively chose to donate their winnings to the SPCA of Tompkins County!
Jesse’s family had at least 3 (and up to 8!) cats throughout his childhood, while Beth grew up with a number of cats and dogs, all beloved members of the family. After moving to Ithaca, Beth also volunteered as a Feline Friend at the SPCA for a few months. So, the SPCA seemed like a natural selection for them!
The SPCA of Tompkins County is a nonprofit whose mission is to protect companion animals. They’re a no-kill shelter dedicated to preventing animal cruelty and overpopulation. We’re happy to help support such an amazing cause!
