How Can I Participate in #NYGivesDay this year?

Unlike previous years, #NYGivesDay is no longer running as a statewide Giving Day, but has community-wide Giving Days and individual #GivingTuesday campaigns running throughout the state instead.  

Check out our #GivingTuesday map to see if there's a Giving Day already happening where you live. If so, go to their site and sign up to participate from there. If our map is missing a Giving Day happening on #GivingTuesday, please fill out this form to let us know about it!

If you're looking to run a solo #GivingTuesday campaign or event for your organization, you can do so using this form.

By providing the name and address of your organization, you'll be added to our #GivingTuesday map, and then directed to your GiveGab dashboard to begin creating your #GivingTuesday campaign or event!

Participating nonprofits will have immediate and ongoing access to their GiveGab profile, fundraising data, and tools for further donor cultivation.

Participating in #GivingTuesday is a great way to take part in a global movement and to boost your organization's efforts to raise funds, attract supporters, and share your success.  It's also an incredibly effective way to kick off your year-end fundraising efforts, as the majority of charitable giving occurs during the last few days of the year.

Who Can Participate?

Any tax-deductible organization incorporated in the United States may participate in #GivingTuesday on GiveGab. To verify whether or not your organization is tax-deductible, you can search for your organization by name or EIN here.


How Much Does it Cost?

Signing up for #GivingTuesday on GiveGab is free! There are transaction fees based on the plan you're using. If you're signed up to use the GiveGab platform without a plan, you'll incur 10% transaction fees for donations. If you're using our Boost plan, that fee is reduced to 2%!

 

If you're signed up through a Giving Day hosted on GiveGab, the per-transaction fees are outlined in the FAQs for that event. 


How Does GiveGab Handle Donations?

Organizations will automatically receive all donations within 48 hours via direct deposit, as long as ACH information has been entered and verified. All donations will be officially receipted for tax purposes by GiveGab.


How Will My Organization Know Who Donated and How Much?

As with any other campaign on GiveGab, all organizations that run campaigns on #GivingTuesday will be able to access donation reports through their administrative dashboard, which is updated in real-time. Reports include each donor’s name, amount donated, and more, depending on the donor information you wish to collect.
