Habitat For Humanity of Tompkins & Cortland Counties saw increased online donations and supporter involvement with GiveGab!
Shannon shared with us 3 main struggles TCHFH experienced before switching to GiveGab's nonprofit giving platform:
- The cost of online fundraising
- Complications with customizing personal fundraising pages
- Lack of admin features, like logging in to create a team for someone or registering off-line supporters
Making the Switch
Shannon described what happened to motivate TCHFH to make the switch to GiveGab:
"We're a small organization and we count every penny. We didn't like the amount we were spending to access our online fundraising platform or the amount they were taking from our donors. Our users also weren't raving about the process and, if it's not quick and easy for your supporters to make their own fundraising page, they don't do it (and, in turn, we miss out on that income and support!). I needed our volunteers to like the visual look of the page and I needed to give them a quick and easy way to get going."

With all the platforms available to nonprofits, we asked Shannon why she chose GiveGab:
"They're local, which has turned out to be fantastic. The level of "customer support" and service we've gotten from them is the best. They are responsive, quick, and they make my job easier. GiveGab was substantially more affordable than our previous fundraising platform - that alone was enough for me to at least give it a try. I also liked the way the samples looked (before we created our own page). I was confident that we'd be presenting ourselves well - it's nice to look good for your donors ;)".

When asked how GiveGab helped them overcome prior challenges, Shannon said:
"We're hooked on GiveGab now because it's an affordable way for us to fundraise online - the cost of online fundraising was a challenge and GiveGab has eliminated that barrier, which is huge. It's also so ridiculously easy to create a new campaign - we should probably do it more often! Our online fundraising presence is more user-friendly and looks more professional. I've saved time creating online campaigns, and helping our volunteers, too (I get fewer questions because GiveGab is easier for them to use)."

Shannon highlighted major differences between GiveGab and the alternatives she tried:
- More Affordable
- More Personal (in terms of support)
- More options for page design, layouts, themes, etc.
- More features (as an admin)
- Great reports (to see who has donated/signed up for an event, when, how much, etc.
When asked about her favorite GiveGab feature, Shannon said:
"The online event sign-up, and being able to export that to Excel, has saved me a HUGE amount of time from the way I had previously registered participants for an annual fundraising event. It's organized and gives me all the info I need. As the event coordinator, I love that :)."

When asked what the most positive experience using GiveGab was, Shannon told us:
"GiveGab motivates our fundraisers, I think. I'll hear from participants that they're watching someone else's fundraising total (because they can see it on the GiveGab site) and they want to out-fundraise them :) It creates some healthy competition for us, which is fun. I also don't have volunteers complaining that they had trouble setting up their personal fundraising page. Actually, I've rarely even had a question from an individual who wanted to do their own fundraising and create a page - that says a lot (because when it's difficult for people, you know... trust me!)."

Shannon shared with us how GiveGab has helped her and her team achieve their goals:
"GiveGab has made it easier to track event/campaign income because I can see it all right there on the dashboard. Even if we don't meet a fundraising goal, for example, it gives me the metrics and data that I need to talk to our Board/volunteers about why that may have happened, or to shed some light on the positives (like how many people we engaged, or how many participants we had)."

When asked about GiveGab's impact on their fundraising performance, Shannon told us:
"Having the GiveGab page (which is easy to use) and having the link (which is easy to share) makes it easier for people to give to us - and so they do, when they may not have with our old process. I know that our online giving has absolutely increased since using GiveGab."

"It's easy to use, and I think most anyone working for a nonprofit would welcome the opportunity to make their job easier! Easier because the cost burden is less, easier because the service is great, easier because the platform is well done and user-friendly."
