Monthly GiveGab Product Updates – November 2019 Edition

The GiveGab product team dedicates time every month to create impactful and robust additions to the GiveGab Fundraising Suite.

Let’s dive into some of the most notable updates made to our platform in November.

Giving Days

Giving Days are 24-hour (or longer!) online fundraising challenges where organizations and schools come together to raise funds for different initiatives.

Centrally routed Giving Days can now take advantage of our Embeddable Donation Widget. When organizations use this widget, they can copy a snippet of code to showcase a donate button on their website. This donate button will create a pop-up donation form that will remain active for the duration of the Giving Day. Donations will go directly to the organization’s Giving Day totals without having to leave their website. Learn more about how to set up an Embeddable Donation Widget here.

We have made improvements to the prize picking user interface used to select prize winners for Giving Days. This is located within the Giving Day partner’s master dashboard. Such as being able to filter prize picker suggestions by survey questions and answers. These improvements will allow our partners to be creative in developing their prizes but also confident in their selections for the winners.

For organizations participating in Giving Days and year-round giving, dashboards will now have separate tabs to manage their Giving Day profiles and their year-round initiatives. This will help ensure that organization administrators are having a positive user experience and that they are working within the correct profile they are wishing to update.

Enterprise Embeddable Forms

Enterprise Embeddable Forms allow organizations to create completely custom donation forms integrated into their website.

A new feature that has been rolled out specifically for active Payment Schedules is the “Force Schedule Charge” button. This button will allow admins to issue a charge to an active Schedule and the new charge will be added as a part of the payment schedule’s count. This is to be used only in cases where there was an error in charging the payment schedule, and you want to keep it on course. You can learn more about this feature and how to use it by reading this support article.

To keep the focus on creating a truly customizable experience for organizations and their donors, refund receipt emails can now contain over 255 characters. This allows the organization the freedom to communicate with their donors however they wish to.

Admins now can whitelist specific domains in which their forms are allowed to appear. This allows our customers the assurance that their forms are secure and can only be displayed on their pre-approved domains.

Boost Peer to Peer Fundraising Suite

With GiveGab’s Boost P2P Fundraising Suite, organizations can harness the power of peer to peer fundraising in their campaigns and events.

Donors can now give to an organization through their email on behalf of someone else. On the donation flow, a user can enter their own email and then include a different name of the donor from their own. The platform will then display the entered name as the donor for that specific donation. The donation receipt and the organization’s reporting will have the name appear as entered on the donation flow. Previously, the platform would automatically sync the donation to the name tied to the user account for the entered email.
