#NYGivesDay 2018 Celebrates New York State Nonprofits
#NYGivesDay is a 24-hour online giving challenge. This year it was held on November 27, 2018, to coincide with #GivingTuesday, a global giving movement.
A collaboration between the New York Council of Nonprofits (NYCON) and United Way of New York State (UWNYS) along with their technology partner, GiveGab, NYGivesDay seeks to celebrate nonprofits across the state of New York, raise awareness, collect donations, and build a stronger sense of philanthropy throughout their local communities.
Images and badges for use on social media were provided to participants for the Giving Day along with other downloadable graphics in NYGivesDay’s Nonprofit Toolkit.

From the Project Manager

Working with Brenda and Emily was an incredible experience. They both bring so much knowledge and expertise, regarding nonprofit fundraising, to the table. It was great to learn from them. We also had fun! Their passion, lightheartedness, and sense of humor helped to make every moment working on #NYGivesDay enjoyable.
Individuals and nonprofits across the entire state of NY benefited from #NYGivesDay. It was moving to see such a diverse group of donors come together to support nonprofits of all sizes and missions to make our, already incredible, state a better place to live.
NYCON and UWNYS did an incredible job hosting #NYGivesDay. Their hard work and dedication, to such a worthy cause, really paid off! I am so happy for them and thrilled to have witnessed such a tremendous accomplishment.
Congratulations, #NYGivesDay!
