Nonprofits Rocking Valentine’s Day Fundraising

Does your organization do anything special for Valentine’s Day?

The winter holiday season is known for spikes in charitable giving, especially with year-end giving thrown into the mix, but why stop there?  Any holiday associated with gift-giving can be leveraged for your fundraising efforts!

An adjective for the word holiday is joyous and although there are a good number of people who dislike V-Day in all its pink and red glory, there are still many others who experience a heightened sense of love and joy surrounding this particular holiday.

As you likely already know, happy people also tend to be more generous, so it’s no wonder that Valentine’s Day and fundraising can go so well together!

Here we explore two examples of nonprofits who are rocking Valentine’s Day fundraising:

Share The Love 2017

A Fundraising Campaign for Planned Parenthood of the Southern Finger Lakes.

Planned Parenthood lovingly opens its doors to all individuals, acting as advocates for sexual and human rights for everyone!

Their fundraising campaign for the month of February has a creative Valentine’s Day theme, including a heart-shaped logo expressing Share the Love.  Along with a compelling story that ties their work with this love-focused holiday, they added a creative spin to their donation tiers by using images of heart-shaped candies:

They run an incredible fundraiser for Valentine’s Day where they sell their branded travel mugs filled with local chocolates and a surprise gift worth at least $25, some of which are worth a lot more!
