Monthly GiveGab Product Updates – October 2019 Edition
The GiveGab product team dedicates time every month to create impactful and robust additions to the GiveGab Fundraising Suite.
Let’s dive into some of the most notable updates made to our platform in the month of October.
On October 3, 2019, GiveGab was proud to announce that we added two new products focused on year-round giving Initiatives, Community Giving and Philanthropy Hub.
Community Giving and Philanthropy Hub allow community leaders such as Community Foundations to create and foster an online philanthropic community for their organizations.
“Community Giving emphasizes the importance of creating a giving culture in your community or region. With this product, you will have access to a custom website built as a central location for businesses, organizations, and donors to cultivate relationships.”
“Philanthropy Hub serves as a central, trusted location for grant-makers and other entities to research organizations.”
In addition to the official release of these products, we have made the following updates:
Giving Days
Giving Days are 24-hour online fundraising challenges where organizations and schools come together to raise funds for different initiatives.
New to our Giving Day sites, leaderboards can now be sorted by both “Most Dollars Raised” and “Most Donors.” This allows visitors on the Giving Date site to know which organizations or initiatives are leading in both categories. Having these categories side by side creates a sleek look and better user experience for all.
See the new leaderboards in action below!
Other Giving Day updates include:
- The header search on a Giving Day website will only show organizations eligible to receive donations
- Releasing batched offline gifts now automatically updates the leaderboard and overall stats for a Giving Day
- The call to action, “Manage this on GiveGab,” has been removed from the Giving Day profiles it minimize confusion between the user’s Giving Day Profile and GiveGab account
Enterprise Embeddable Forms
Enterprise Embeddable Forms allow organizations to create completely custom donation forms integrated into your website.
On Enterprise, you can now configure a “Payment Schedule Upgrade Widget” to include in your email outreach to encourage donors to give an extra $5 as part of their recurring gift. The primary reason that someone has given to your organization is simply because you asked them too.
By making the ask for your donor to increase their recurring gift by $5 their impact on your organization will grow substantially. Learn more about setting up your “Payment Schedule Upgrade Widget” by following these step by step instructions.
Other Enterprise updates include:
- Organization Admins can now manually generate a ‘Reset Password’ URL
- Email notifications sent out via changes made to payment schedules by admins can be suppressed upon request to our team
Boost Peer to Peer Fundraising Suite
With GiveGab’s Boost P2P Fundraising Suite, organizations can harness the power of peer to peer fundraising in their campaigns and events.
We have added “mailing address” fields to the donation flow for our embeddable donation widget. This allows you to capture this donor information for continued engagement and donor stewardship. With the donor’s mailing address on file you can send handmade thank you cards or invitations to your next fundraising event!
