2020 Education Giving Days on GiveGab
We are so proud to be the technology platform powering over twenty-five incredibly impactful Giving Days for education institutions so far in 2020. These schools range in all shapes and sizes, and each has a unique mission and purpose for hosting a Giving Day to benefit their school’s community.
Giving Days are 24-hour (or longer) digital fundraising events created as an accessible and enjoyable way for your donors and supporters to give back and show pride in your school. They are a proven way to increase alumni engagement, instill a spirit of philanthropy in students, and generate a large impact in a short amount of time.
Fundraising in 2020 has looked very different than in previous years for our University, College, and K-12 schools, but through their Giving Days, they have united communities and provided support to so many in need. Through dedication and perseverance, repeat Higher Education Giving Days run on GiveGab so far in 2020 have grown an average of 29.20% year-over-year and have seen a 16.85% increase in the number of new donors from 2019.
While we still have many more fantastic Education Giving Days coming up this fall, we wanted to pause for a moment and showcase the success and resiliency of a few of our partners who have already hosted a 2020 Giving Day.
CofC Day
CofC Day took place on January 30, 2020, to celebrate the school’s 250th anniversary. Funds raised benefited the College of Charleston community located in South Carolina.
University of Dallas COR Challenge
University of Dallas COR Challenge received incredible support during their Giving Challenge from February 11-15, 2020.
Unite for USD
Unite for USD, a Giving Day for The University of South Dakota supported its school’s community on February 13, 2020.
Glow Big Red — 24 Hours of Husker Giving
Glow Big Red — 24 Hours of Husker Giving is a highly impactful annual Giving Day hosted by The University of Nebraska on February 13-14, 2020.
Sarah Lawrence Giving Day
Sarah Lawrence Giving Day an online fundraiser that took place on March 4th supported Sarah Lawrence College located in Bronxville, NY.

The University of Maryland celebrated its successful Giving Day, #GivingDayUMD, on March 4, 2020.
Lehigh Giving Day
Lehigh University, located in Bethlehem, PA, celebrated its annual Lehigh Giving Day event on March 5, 2020.
Cornell Giving Day
On March 12, 2020, Cornell Giving Day raised significant support for students, staff, and community members of Cornell University located in Ithaca, NY.
D’Youville Day of Giving
D’Youville Day of Giving took place on April 1, 2020, and provided a way for donors to give back to D’Youville Institutional Advancement in Buffalo, NY.
New York Tech Big Give
New York Institute of Technology in Old Westbury, NY came together on April 1 to support its school’s community during its Giving Day, New York Tech Big Give.
TU Big Give
TU Big Give, a Giving Day for Towson University located in Towson, Maryland, celebrated philanthropy in their school on April 22, 2020.
Give N Day
On April 23, Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, LA kicked off their incredibly successful annual Giving Day, Give N Day.
Give.Love.Xavier
Give.Love.Xavier, an annual Giving Day benefiting Xavier University of Louisiana located in New Orleans, LA, took place on April 28.
WheatonGives
Wheaton College, located in Wheaton, IL, saw fantastic results during their annual Giving Day, WheatonGives, on April 29,2020.
One Mission One Day
One Mission One Day, a Giving Day that took place on May 5 was created to generate support for Catholic Schools of the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston in West Virginia.
Crusader Day of Giving
Brother Rice High School in Chicago, IL, took part in their school’s Giving Day, Crusader Day of Giving, on May 5 making a significant impact on the lives of its students and community

Cal Lutheran Cares Day, an online Giving Day, took place on May 6, 2020, to generate support for Cal Lutheran University located in Oaks, CA.
Strawberry Day of Giving
On May 11, Ramona Convent Secondary School in Alhambra, CA, kicked off their very first Giving Day, Strawberry Day of Giving.
St. Norbert College Giving Day
St. Norbert College Giving Day on May 12, was a day to uKnight as its community came together to support this college located in De Pere, WI.
The Green Vale School’s Giving Day
The Green Vale School’s Giving Day took place on May 27 empowering its local community to give back to this school located in Old Brookville, NY.
