Upstate Venture Connect Gained Funds and Visibility Through their Participation in #NYGivesDay 2016!

Kate Cartini, Communications Director at UVCshared her success story using GiveGab for running online fundraising campaigns and UVC's participation in #NyGivesDay 2016.  


The GiveGab Experience

Kate expressed the challenge UVC faced trying to communicate all the resources and benefits they offer to their local community. By using GiveGab's platform, they were able to illustrate UVC's successes with multimedia-rich elements and stories that resonated with their supporters.

Regarding platform features, Kate told us that the "simple and attractive user experience and design" were her favorite aspects of using the website.

By participating in a Giving Day through GiveGab, UVC was able to shine a national spotlight on the success stories, not only of their nonprofit but Upstate NY's startup community as a whole.

Repeatedly reaching their goals and being able to share their successes with their beneficiaries were the most positive experiences gained by UVC as a result of participating in a Giving Day.  

In just 24 hours, UVC raised over $5,000 from 24 donors for #NYGivesDay 2016!

Beyond the Giving Day

Following #NYGivesDay, which occurred on November 29th, 2016, UVC continued their fundraising efforts by launching another campaign on GiveGab, called Building Upstate New York Through Entrepreneurship.
