Upstate Venture Connect Gained Funds and Visibility Through their Participation in #NYGivesDay 2016!
The GiveGab Experience
Kate expressed the challenge UVC faced trying to communicate all the resources and benefits they offer to their local community. By using GiveGab's platform, they were able to illustrate UVC's successes with multimedia-rich elements and stories that resonated with their supporters.
"GiveGab provided an opportunity for other community leaders to get more engaged, access their networks and contribute as Fundraising Champions."
Regarding platform features, Kate told us that the "simple and attractive user experience and design" were her favorite aspects of using the website.
Kate also shared, "While I love the GiveGab platform, it's the Customer Success team that truly makes the company stand out. There was never a question that went unanswered, and the guides to help create and execute a successful campaign were spot on."
Giving Day Results
By participating in a Giving Day through GiveGab, UVC was able to shine a national spotlight on the success stories, not only of their nonprofit but Upstate NY's startup community as a whole.
"Creating visibility for our entrepreneurs, investors and ecosystem builders is part of our mission. We're thankful to have had this opportunity."
Repeatedly reaching their goals and being able to share their successes with their beneficiaries were the most positive experiences gained by UVC as a result of participating in a Giving Day.
In just 24 hours, UVC raised over $5,000 from 24 donors for #NYGivesDay 2016!
"The Giving Day platform powered by GiveGab combines storytelling, network outreach, and online payment technology into one simple-to-use (and maintain) resource. We would not have been able to achieve such success had we tried to undergo these efforts individually across our own communication channels."
Beyond the Giving Day
Following #NYGivesDay, which occurred on November 29th, 2016, UVC continued their fundraising efforts by launching another campaign on GiveGab, called Building Upstate New York Through Entrepreneurship.
Kate told us that she would recommend GiveGab to other nonprofits because we're easy to use and helped increase awareness and visibility for their organization.
"The easy-to-use platform helped us share success stories about Upstate's startup community, and grow visibility for our region."
